FFBC Distinctives

Biblical Distinctives

As Fundamentalists we adhere to the following historical Biblical Distinctives; Biblically literal in our interpretation; dispensational (not covenental) in our theology; premillenial and pretribulational in our eschatology; evangelistic and missions-oriented in our outreach; Biblically separated in personal life and ecclesiastical associations, and baptistic with regard to the mode and subjects of baptism.

We are Separatists

We believe that it is imperative to the testimony of the Lord and our Fellowship that each church associated with the Fellowship of Fundamental Bible Churches stand firmly and boldly against all ungod-liness, apostasy, false teaching and fanatical cults.

We therefore shall not knowingly cooperate with nor encourage organizations or individuals that do not hold to the fundamentals of the faith as set forth in the Word of God, or that refuse to separate themselves from organizations that harbor modern-ism or support the National Council of Churches, the World Council of Churches, the National Association of Evangelicals or other such organizations.

We are Biblically Literal

We hold to the verbal, plenary inspiration of the original Scriptures by the Holy Spirit. We believe that they are inerrant and infallible, and give us the final authority for our faith and practice.

We are Dispensational

We hold to a literal approach as we study and interpret the Scriptures. This is accurately reflected in our belief of a pretribulational rapture of the church, and a premillennial return of Christ to establish His 1000 year reign.

We are Baptistic

We believe that the mode of baptism which is taught in Scripture is that of immersion for believers only.
