2006 FFBC Resolutions

In Appreciation For Our Military

As we gather together this year, we remain involved in a war for the very freedoms that we hold dear. Many of our churches and families have given their family members to engage in this conflict against those who would strip us of our freedoms, so that we might continue to enjoy these precious liberties. We are continually reminded of the truth that liberty comes only through the price of blood.

Be it therefore resolved, that we, the Fellowship of Fundamental Bible Churches meeting at Tri-State Bible Camp in Montague NJ, August 14-18, 2006, for our Annual Session express our gratitude for our soldiers, who are actively laboring for our freedom, for families who have sent forth their children, spouses, and parents to engage in defense of our liberty, and for churches who have commissioned with their families to serve in these capacities.

We further express our deepest gratitude and heartfelt sympathy for those families who have made the greatest sacrifice in these conflicts.

Finally, be it resolved that we will remain steadfast in our prayers for our military, and that as we are able, we will minister to both those in our military, and their families, by being sensitive to the needs of the families with members actively in the conflict, and especially those families who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

In Appreciation for the Ministry of Jerry Huffman

For the past twenty-three years, Mr. Jerry Huffman has provided a valuable service to fundamental churches through the consistent publishing of the Calvary Contender in which he encouraged Christians to “be warned, be wise, beware!”. In December 2005, the Calvary Contender ceased publication due to his continuing debilitating health problems.

We, the Fellowship of Fundamental Bible Churches, meeting at Tri-State Bible Conference in Montague, New Jersey, August 14-17, 2006 for our Annual Session wish to express our gratitude to Jerry Huffman for his many years of faithful service of conscientiously “warning and informing” believers on the issues of the day. We will miss this needed ministry and trust that God will raise another to provide this valuable ministry to our churches, perhaps even one who is already in our midst.

In Appreciation for Dr. B. Robert Biscoe

Whereas Dr. B. Robert Biscoe has served our Fellowship as the National Representative for the past six years, and for a cumulative total of seventeen years, and

Whereas on April 29, 2006, Dr. Biscoe entered into holy matrimony with Evelyn Basara, joining two active godly families, and

Whereas Dr. Biscoe has resigned from his position as National Representative,

Be it resolved that we the Fellowship of Fundamental Bible Churches meeting at Tri-State Bible Camp in Montague NJ, August 14-18, 2006, for our Annual Session desire to express our great gratitude for the ministry Dr. Biscoe has had in our midst over the past six years.

Be it further resolved, that we express our joy with him in the marriage relationship he and Evie have entered.

Finally, be it resolved that we as the Fellowship of Fundamental Bible Churches wish to express our appreciation to Dr. Biscoe monetarily by continuing to cover his supplementary health insurance.

In Appreciation for Joe and Ardie Racite

Whereas Dr. Joseph F. Racite has served as the Administrator of the Tri-State Bible Camp for the past six years with his wife Ardie, and

Whereas, they have tirelessly and lovingly labored in this ministry, bringing the camp through many major improvement projects, and overseeing the hiring of more full-time staff, and

Whereas, they have remained active in presenting the camp ministry in many Fellowship and non-Fellowship churches, and positively representing the camp upon the campuses of several fundamental Christian Colleges, and

Whereas, they have announced their resignation because of the Lord’s direction in their lives, and the Lord’s leading of the camp to greater advancement in His service, and

Whereas they have expressed their intentions to remain available and active in the ministry during a transition period,

Be it resolved that we the Fellowship of Fundamental Bible Churches meeting at Tri-State Bible Camp in Montague, NJ, August 14-18, 2006, for our Annual Session express our appreciation for the Racites’ labor in the camp ministry, their training of godly staff members each summer, and their positive representation in being the face of Tri-State Bible Camp for the past several years.

Be it further resolved, that while we are saddened to receive their resignation, we rejoice with them in the new direction God is leading them.

Finally, be it further resolved that we wish to express our gratitude for their many years of service by presenting them with an opportunity to take a vacation of their choice and timing at the expense of the Fellowship.
